I've only camped there once but been up a few other times to visit.
Each time I've seen a number of people during the day visiting, but when I camped I was the only person there overnight.
Do you see a lot of people there if you camp mid-week?

It's my beach! Haven't seen another FWC at Usal Beach while I was there yet :)
We've been interested in visiting but don't know how crowded or open it is.
I'm sure any major holiday is full, but it sounds promising for other times.

Lots of space down there Andy. Don't see it being packed on a normal weekend, but It's been five years since I've been there.

There is a ton of camping down there.
It's a state park but is not regularly serviced by the rangers, so it's more of a dispersed camping kind of layout.
During the week there would be tons of room, but I have been cautioned that on the weekends it can be kind of rowdy with people going up there to party...
It's a beautiful area and well worth the trip.

I was there on a weekend and there were a lot of people, not packed though. I'm sure it can get rowdy on occasion.

Urban location, Costco Goleta, Monday, March 7, 2016, Eagle on a Ranger

I like the old school black & yellow license plate, why didn't I think of that?

Take those jacks off before something gets hurt.

That looks like an amazing spot! I haven't camped down in Baja at all, and have only been as far as Rosarito Beach... Looking at all the photos people here have posted have planted the seed of travel desire.
