Rear turnbuckle mount failure on Hallmark Guanella

Got rock sliders fabricated/mounted at Maverick, and also had a hi-lift jack bracket welded onto the leading edge of the back deck of the camper, where it's completely out of the way. The rock sliders are really solid, will make those undercarriage thumps a heck of a lot less terrifying driving rocky roads out in far-flung canyon country, and will give us the ability to lift off of a high-center situation with the hi-lift jack. Plus I think they look good on the truck!
New wheels were an unexpected purchase - we started leaking air badly from a crack in the inner edge of a rear rim which we must have sustained while out in canyon country last fall, not sure why it took so long to actually start leaking. We stuck with 17" alloy rims but went with better quality off-road intended equipment. Still using the original tire size (265/70/R17), but will probably go up to 285s when we wear out the current BFG's. It's a bit tricky to get the spare in and out of the undercarriage recess with our aftermarket exhaust, but I think it'll be worth the extra effort and knuckle abrasions to add another inch or two of diameter for airing down.
