Thanks Highz,for the trip.Out of the ordinary things like the Garter snake helping itself to your fish add to the enjoyment of the story.You don't see things like that everyday.

Yeah, good story! Reminds me of other similar stories where a guy reeling in a fish has it attacked by another bigger one. The best I have heard was a guy hooking an immature loon and having it stolen by a large muskie. But these are just fish stories. I've never heard of a snake stealing a fish before, and you have pictures! Thanks for the trip report. Sometimes those short trips yield the best memories.
