Hello WTW members & lurkers
Who knows our campers and customers better than you (FWC owners & non-owners alike), people that are involved in the Overlanding Community and who know, enjoy, & believe in this life style & way of traveling. A person that loves exploring and the great outdoors. That is why we are posting this thread. Four Wheel Campers is growing and we are searching for a new sales manager. I have been taking care of sales (with other sales people on staff) for many years here when we were smaller. As we grow I'm having to concentrate on more dealer training, dealer programs, staff training, marketing, social media, and working on building our global company with the management staff & owners of Four Wheel Campers.
The person we are looking for typically will NOT have experience in RV or vehicle sales, but they will have lead a sales staff of at least 5 people. We need the kind of person who is passionate about outdoor activities, camping, and can identify with Four Wheel Camper owners & potential owners. Living in or near Sacramento or Woodland would be a perfect situation.
With this position we are looking to fill, the candidate would be responsible to learn about our campers, our customers, sales process, and our dealers. Once they have some experience under their belt, they would be responsible for some retail camper sales, searching out new qualified dealers around the USA & Internationally that are interested in becoming a partners with us, as well as managing a small sales staff here at our factory in Woodland, CA. The ideal candidate would be the outdoors type person that enjoys traveling, truck campers, and knows a little bit about the basics of different trucks on the market. They would be spending most all of their time here at the factory office (Woodland, CA), but they also need to be willing & able to travel to visit our current dealers, trade shows, meet with potential new dealers, attend FWC customers rallies, and other similar events.
Along with the 40 year track record of our company (Four Wheel Campers), we are also starting up the production line again this year for our sister company, Six-Pac Campers, and bringing back a few key models for sale in the hard sided cabover camper market. The Six-Pac market also has GREAT potential, thus the need for more qualified sales staff here to make it all happen. Side note on our history: Back in approx. 2004, Four Wheel Campers bought Six-Pac Campers and both companies are now located here in Woodland, CA under one roof (80,000 sq.ft. +++ warehouse).
