Hello.
I recently purchased a 2001 Hallmark UTE and I'd like some advice on mounting a roof rack/cross bars to mount my Yakima box to carry my skis and assorted camping gear as well as put my titan rod vault on.
I know there's some apprehension by some on mounting anything on the rubber roof, but I'm sure with care it can be done. I know the yakima and thule rails systems are sweet, but honestly I don't want to spend $600 for all the components. Is there anything out there to mount of the side aluminum trim to keep it off the roof?
Any advice and recommendations greatly appreciated!
