I feel sorry for all those affected..
In reading the FS announcement I was wondering if this quote..

“2. Prohibition of the use of any ignition source on all National Forest System lands (campfires, gas stoves, etc.) throughout California. (This includes the Eldorado National Forest.)”

means that you could not even use the stove in your camper if you found a place to boondock?

That was a question we had also. It became a moot point as the Forest was also closed to any boondocking (dispersed camping).

All this will be temporary as this very destructive fire season will eventually end. Although right now, it looks like it never will.

The cabin I’m working on is in a small town surrounded by Forest Service land, local FS campground has also been closed. I’m so paranoid I’m not going to use the generator, even with a spark arrestor installed.
