That's an easy fix. I've removed the furnace from every small RV I have ever owned. They eat your battery alive, and waste about 50% of the propane. Install an Olympic Catalytic. They don't use power, and they are essentially 100% efficient. Back in the day when I had a popup camper, I used a 4k BTU unit. In Colorado, you might want the 6k. In our tent trailer, which has miles of canvas, I use the 8k.
