Sold.

No time to camp for a while, so up for sale. $4000

1972 Alaskan Camper for sale. Nearly all original, and in good shape for the age. Cabover, 8 foot. I have camped in it only about 12 days total since purchase in 2017, so I'm selling it (no time to use). It is pretty fun, though. No title, as not required where bought (North Dakota) and where I now live (Arizona).

Previous owner rewired the interior electric to be cabled (waterproof) on the outside, so that all electrics (DC and AC) work completely, for both top and bottom, for battery and shore power recharging. He also reupholstered the cushions. Original stove works, and oven appears unused (I no instructions on how to light it). Original catalytic heater works. Original fridge works on both AC shore power and gas. Electric faucet pump for sink, manual as well.

New DC interior lights installed. Some wood decay in corners but really not that bad; still, see album linked below. Top front panel above window (transom?) should have some wood replaced, but it is usable as is. Hydraulics work for raising and lowering. I think it had a rear width reduction to fit in a more modern truck. My truck is a 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 short bed, fits nicely, with a 3" support in bed, underneath camper.

Some photos included are from the Dakotas, Wyoming, and Arizona. I have designed, fabricated, and installed new supports brackets to make the camper very stable when jacked up with the mechanical crank jacks pictured. New brackets with old jacks are shown in linked album. I used the Rico-Titan hole pattern for the new mounts to the old jacks, so you could use them if you had a set of Rico-Titan jacks, but old jacks work okay. Camper does not leak to my knowledge and it has been out in the weather all this past snowy and rainy year with only a strapped-down cover over it. Still, the top half has some rot develop since 1972, and I have shown where in the photos in album. The bottom half is rock-solid.

Text/email only for reply, or the PM (I don't get on line here as much as I would like, though). With all this phone spam going around, I am not answering voice phone calls anymore.

Here is the craigslist ad, contact info other than this forum will be there.

I have 4 nearly unused Brophy hold-downs if you want to buy them separate (cheap, like $25) to take the camper home.
