Hello WTW!
We like this Fleet so much we ordered a new Fleet, due in October! So we need to sell this one. Once I got the wife out camping in the camper, she was hooked!
This is a 1988 FWC Fleet. I bought this camper in April (6 months ago) from a fellow in Anacortes, WA. He had completed most of the rebuild work on this camper. He rebuilt all of the plywood and interior components. Replacing the wall paneling as well as epoxy coating the interior and exterior plywood. Given the opportunity, this camper would probably float.
The canvas was replaced in Anacortes, WA by a sailmaker. The material used is called Sunbrella. This material is UV resistant and waterproof. We've been through some crazy rain near Mt St. Helens and the Steens Mountain range. DRY AS A BONE.
When I got it, I installed new insulation in the walls. I added the sink, propane stove top, water tank, 12v water pump, counters and slide out bed. I also added the roof lift assist gas struts. I followed these instructions: http://www.wanderthewest.com/forum/topic/12729-lift-strutsgas-spring-install-on-1982-grandby-keep-rain-gutter-too
This camper fits Toyota Tacoma or trucks that have at least 37 inches between the wheel wells. It is not the same dimensions as the newer Fleets. Check out my pictures for dimensions.
The fellow I bought this camper from installed the colorful curtains that his mother made. My wife thought that was so sweet, that we kept the curtains.
10 gallon water tank
12v water pump
Sink/faucet
2 burner propane stove top
Propane heater
Heater thermostat
Carbon monoxide detector
Fire extinguisher
Solar panel
10 amp solar charge controller
80 amp hour AGM battery
12 volt socket, USB and digital voltage meter
Four 40 pound roof lift assist gas struts
Steel Toyota Tacoma bed mounts (see pic's)
Two cable jacks - great conditions (you should install real camper jacks!)
Foam for bed and sitting area (needs to be upholstered) New from http://www.foamportlandor.com/
Optional ($500) Whytner 65Qt AC/DC fridge. https://amzn.com/B002W8DM5I
I'm asking $3000 for the camper. That is a firm price. The fridge is extra.
That said - I am really flexible as far as delivery and showing the camper. If you are really interested in this camper, and within a 150 miles or so of Portland, OR, I am more than happy to meet and show off the camper. I won't charge for gas or driving. Nothing like that. If you really want a FWC, I will help you get this camper.
All my pictures are too large to upload. Please see the Google Photo album: https://goo.gl/photos/ZFH2oz2X4i5LzyjP9
If you have any questions, please ask!
Happy camping!
Todd.
