A Roamin Chariot pop up truck camper.
Aluminum framed, lightweight camper, unsure of exact weight, I've been told they are around 700lbs. I had this on my Dodge Ram 2500, and barely felt it. Similar to a four wheel camper, but only the rear raises. The predesscor to all the new hip "wedge" campers. Very simple. Inside is just a bed on the cabover and you can convert the downstairs seating area into a bed as well. Both King size beds. There are NO amenities inside. Which makes it great for Baja, little or nothing to go wrong. There is electrical hook up that connects to the truck battery for interior lights, four pin plug. I never tested it though...
This camper is intended for a full-size longbed truck (8'), although I'm sure you could put it on a short bed with the tailgate down. Anything else check the measurements.
I purchased this camper with the intensions of taking it to Baja with our family. Its size is just perfect and there's nothing unnecessary crowding up the camper. However, I found out sentry pass does not allow campers, and then found a flip-pac... So this is for sale.
Issues with the camper:
There are no jacks on the camper. I have some tripod jacks to assist loading it on your truck. I may have a set of Rieco jacks available, for added cost.
Also there is no sliding rear window, just a piece of plexiglass screwed in. Lastly, there is two minor tears in the pop up screen on the drivers side.
