Here's something to do on the 24'th...A very rare opportunity to tour the interiors of many of these great airplanes. This is a wonderful museum that's struggling to stay open as it gets no monetary support from Uncle Sam. There's an SR-71 Blackbird and a very rare Convair RB-36H Peacemaker along with about 50 other aircraft on display. I will be flying my grandson down for the day. If you fly in, you can get free ride out to the museum at the General Aviation Terminal / FSS.
To keep it on topic, there are a several RV parks within 8-10 miles of castle field for your ATC ~ FWC, and a fairly nice one on the Merced River about 8.5 miles north.

Go See The Blackbird

Delta is right and if you have never seen what many people believe is Kelly Johnson and the nuts at the Skunks Works greatest triumph you should take this oportunity to see the SR-71.

Our government claims the first flight of this 2200 kph plane was in '64 but many believe it was in the mid '50s and as many believe it was closer to mach 4 than mach 3 plane but that's all still classified some 50 years later.

We have one here in Tucson as well. The Pima Air museum is a fantastic place. You can easily spend a few days there. Here's on of the many hangers.
