The wife and I just blocked off a week in April. So, that week obviously gets my vote. And that week is April 9-14. Easter is the 8th and we may head out before that. Our usual plan is to watch the weather and pick the best 4-6 day window (spring blizzards can make crossing the mountains tough).

We know SE UT well, so we just go where we feel like after starting near Moab. Happy to guide a tour.

That's our UT plan anyway, care to meet up with us for a few days?

FWIW: I don't think I'll go on any out-of-state trips this month, April...
...But I'd be interested in hearing about a May rendezvous/rally.

I 'm going somewhere this month-finish my hemorroid treatments next week (it's hell to get old) and I'll be ready to roll-southern Oregon maybe, maybe just out to the Smoke Creek Desert, Eagle Lake-not real far like Utah, not yet anyway, maybe over to the coast again! May could be up for a good trip. Been reading my new copy of Kerr's Oregon Desert Guide-real jazzed to head to the Steens-need to call and find out how snow is over there maybe the Alvoid Desert!

Hey we could all meet at Overland Expo and watch everybody I pissed off last year beat the crap out of me. I'll be there. It's near Flaggstaff at Mormon Lake. SunMan camped there and liked it. And it's close to the North Rim (sort of), Navajo NM, the South Rim, All the stuff around 4 Corners, Page, Wahweep Bay.
