Tear in my Artic pack

I found a small tear in my artic pack near the front bungee cord. My camper is not a year old. I was wondering if anyone else had this issue. Also if anyone has a fix for this problem. The tear is only 2" inches but , I do not want it to get any bigger.

A picture would help. On our old Grandby, I did see wear around the lift panels, but never a tear. A best guess at a fix would be to pull that side out of the camper, then put some stitching around the tear and at the end to keep it from spreading.

+2 with Mr. Sage. A picture would be helpful. Is the tear in the artic pack or the reinforcing patch where the bungee ring pulls through? jd

FYI-some 25 years ago I bought a car cover of the same material used in our Hawk "thermal liner"....patches are most likely available to stop the tearing in your liner...oh, that car cover shows almost no wear and seems very tough.

Contact FWC, they will send you a patch of the material you can glue on.

You can get a sample for $1 which would be all you need for a patch, and just use iron on adhesive to attach it. I guess I would probably also put a few stitches on the tear to be sure. I sewed my own arctic pack with this stuff, and it is easy to work with.
