They sure could use your help and prayers.
It's bad!

20 gallons? Wow. Good for you. My Dad gave 18 + gal. I'm at 9 gal.craig333 said:Didn't want to donate blood this weekend just in case I went on a strenuous hike. Learned the hard way about doing that. Oh well, that wasn't likely to happen anyway Gets me closer to my 20 gal goal.
Lots of people give and never mention it.Bombsight said:Wow.
Almost 400 views and only one compassionate reply with two talking of themselves.
Sorry for the abrasive attitude. It's just, with the way some are so quick to comment on the silliest of topics here, "beating a dead horse" and such ... it seems as though somebody would AT LEAST comment on how well the area is conducting itself in the face of an uncertain future. No looting ... even when the cameras are dissecting every opportunity to record it.Casa Escarlata Robles Too said:Lots of people give and never mention it.
The important thing is to give where and if you can.
Hope you are safe and "normal" will come back as soon as possible.

Yes I agree the areas have conducted themselves well.Bombsight said:Sorry for the abrasive attitude. Thanks to all who said a prayer or gave or is planning on helping in any way. I guess comments and reassurance of help really aren't needed.
Good to hear all are safe.longhorn1 said:My wife and I gave blood this week and have contributed in other ways. Most of my wife's family are in the Houston area, Houston, LaMarque, Victoria and they all made it through with only trees down. A close friend lost everything, house and cars as a result of the 2 dams being open. They were evacuated with 5' of water inside their home.
There are many ways people are helping and do it out of a sense of pride for their state and our country. It brings people together.
Any negativity needs to be left out of this post. jd
