Woke up to a tiny bit of snow and 25°. :)

It started snowing here this afternoon and Julie got out all her snow shovels. I don't expect much but we'll see. It is nice to have it cold. :)
 
I'm far from home, but my next-door neighbors in Bend sent me a photo of my place this morning showing some kind of white deposits...

Lil' Red, the tractor has a full tank. We'll fill the diesel can tomorrow morning and the snow tires are going on Julie's Subaru................ the snow stakes are going up along the road also. Sunday night through Tuesday night look like fun in these parts. :)
 
Same here. We were supposed to be on the wet side, but cancelled due to snow here, and 3” of rain forecasted there. It was described as a robust atmospheric river.

* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4
  feet possible above 4000 feet. Winds could gust as high as 40
  to 50 mph.

* WHERE...Shasta Lake Area / Northern Shasta County, Burney Basin
  / Eastern Shasta County, Western Plumas County/Lassen Park and
  West Slope Northern Sierra Nevada including Interstate 80 and
  Highway 50.

* WHEN...From Sunday afternoon through late Tuesday night.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Strong
  winds could cause tree damage.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Be prepared for significant reductions in
  visibility with near whiteout conditions at times.

This reminds me of our friend in South Lake Tahoe. He says, when he retires, he's driving south with the snow plow still mounted on the front of his truck. When he stops for gas and a group of old timers gather around his truck, scratch their heads and ask, "What in the world is that?", that is where he'll move to.
