Our cat always wanted in the vehicle while it was in the garage, but once it was started wanted nothing to do with it. If your cat already travels well, i.e. trips to the store, etc., it should be an easy adjustment. We often see cats being walked at rest stops and in parks. Even saw one guy on a hiking trail on the coast with his cat in lead as eager as any dog would be.
