Yeah, the Brute is not cheap. Of course neither is a loaded FWC.

Odd that this is for sale, it was just built a couple months ago. The owner had big plans to travel the country.

Drove to Twin Falls and snapped this one up. Seller was a real FWC hardcore - has owned four of them, had just picked up a new '11 Eagle, so he was selling this one. He made a few mods to the Grandby, but it's in great shape.

I'll try to take some pics tomorrow. It's pretty much loaded and in really nice shape. I was all set to order a new Hawk shell model with just the roof rack, rear wall steps, furnace and a couple other little things but the Mrs pushed me to look at used. I had looked at used off and on for a year and not really seeing what I wanted. Got this one for about what my shell model would have cost. I priced this out with all the options and it would have been pretty close to $20K with tax. I got mine for well under half of that.

I spent a good part of today cleaning an already really clean camper and organizing and downsizing my stuff into the camper. The guy I bought it from gave me a bunch of his gear, and I already had more than enough since I'm downsizing from a tent trailer. I'm well outfitted with all the essentials and ready to camp. I just need to find a porta-pottie that fits the space in the Hawk. My nice electric flush Thetford won't fit under the 2004 built in sofa bed.

Ranger II went to a new friend traveling the west. It was a very difficult decision to let the camper go, but the final straw was waking up in the middle of the night with our 6 month old making her way towards the foot-of-the-bed drop-off. Even more regrettably, we've made the transition to RV land and now own a tent trailer...time has a way of changing things. But mark my words, we will be back! Happy camping to the new owner!...couldn't be happier with who it went to. Cheers!

1998 RANGER 11 (EAGLE) EMPTY SHELL MODEL VALLEJO, CA $ 2395.00 OBO

I have a Four Wheel Pop-up Camper for sale.

It is a Ranger II Empty Shell Model, this is the same as todays version of the FWC Eagle Shell Model.

(same size, same options, same measurements, etc).

I'm pretty sure it is a 1998 model (can't remember what the sticker says on the back of the camper)?

It has been around and used. It is a very solid camper, but shows some use and shows its age.

The roof is great, no damage, no leaks, sealed very well.

The exterior is in good condition, no damage.

The interior could use some customization to make it look better, it is very plain right now.

It is a VERY SIMPLE camper. Basically a pop-up camper shell style camper.

All aluminum frame construction, super light weight (500 lbs), and low profile.

Will fit on most any of the smaller and mid sized trucks like a toyota tacoma, SR5, nissan frontier, dodge dakota, old body style access cab tundra, ford ranger, etc.

If you are looking for a fully optioned out camper (sink, stove, refrigerator, furnace, etc.) this is NOT the camper for you.

If you are looking for a bullet proof pop up camper that is really light weight, roof pops up so you can stand up, gets you off the ground and out of the elements, this MIGHT be the camper for you.

Again, this camper has NO extra options, none !

It is the most basic empty shell pop-up camper that four wheel campers offers.

It has a roof vent, 2 interior lights, front sliding window, old set of portable cable jacks so you can take the camper on & off your truck.

I didn't like the thin 2" bed mattress, so I took that out.

You will need to put a thermarest, a piece of foam, or a simple air mattress for the cabover bed area.

This camper is simplicity at its best !!

A great staring point for someone on a budget that wants to build the interior out themselves, or for someone on a budget that just wants to KISS (keep it simple silly).

Again, please don't ask if the camper has any options like a refrigerator, or a furnace,, or an awning, or a roof racks, or a couch, etc.

It does NOT. : )
