Used Camper Alert Thread

Should I be posting these or only 4WC and ATC?
One of my frustrations with FWC's is the pull-out upper bed. It flat won't work for us, we need a bed that we don't have to move in order to do other things inside. I hesitate to cast ATC in that lot because I don't know if they have built them differently or not, but all that I've seen thus far have pull-out beds too.

Given that, I'm happy to see other brands posted.

What is the best option for buying a camper half way across the country? Should I not even think about it?

Well, your best option is to be able to bend space and time while keeping five to ten thousand dollars in your pocket when that perfect camper comes up, cause chances are it won't be for sale for long. Buying a camper sight unseen is inherently risky, IMHO. Could be awesome, could be a "project". Like strip it down to the frame project.

One could always move to, or take a long long vacation in Colorado or California. Those are you best bet for finding older FWC's. Washington and Oregon are next. Failing that, you could also build your own. Like this super ghetto tastic pop up camper of your dreams:

mobilerik.com - Domain Name For Sale | Dan.com

Or the not so ghetto tastic model below, this dude really should consider going into business, I mean he'd make a fortune off this forum alone:

Those are my thoughts, not in any particular order.

Put a deposit down. Have an inspection done by a member here or on expo or some other third party. Buy it. Ship your truck out to location of camper. Fly out, mount camper, and have an awesome little journey home!
