Wow - looks like a great deal. I am going to see if I can check it out as it might be worth getting and working on even before I get a bigger truck (would put it on a trailer for now).

Found a 2014 Northstar 700SS for $10,000 in good condition and I am seriously considering purchasing it. Curious to hear your thoughts:

Is this a fair price?
How will this ride in a 2016 4 door long-bed tacoma SR5 (1350 lbs dry weight)
What is most affordable / utilitarian / effective / easy tie-down method (hard plastic bed liner)?
Assuming I need airbags - what is best make model?
Still possible to use receiving hitch to pull drift boat?
Things to consider that a first time pop-up owner might not have?

Thanks in advance!

Way to heavy that's why ATC and FWC are around. Don't do it on that platform.

I wouldn't buy a used Northstar over a FWC or ATC. I looked at a 2010 Northstar similar to the one you mentioned and it was not holding up well at all. The roof design is really flawed - light weight but really weak. Also I really don't like how thin the canvas is as well as all the air gaps around the framing.

I will admit that they have a nice layout and feel comfortable, but the resale on them is so poor compared to a FWC or ATC. For $10k you can find a good one of those, that will be a better fit weight wise with the Tacoma, but you might have to be patient.

2017 Raven, used lightly, perfect cond. For sale, North west Nevada. I am having trouble loading pictures. email me any questions or call and leave me a message or text at 775-217-2314. thanks

If the issue is a reduced off-road performance I am not too worried as the rig is stock and don't take too far off trail. But if it is too heavy for highway and light over-landing I am concerned. Please elaborate kmcintyre. Thanks
