My wife and I are excited to take our 2yr old out camping and traveling this summer. We have always been backpackers or tent campers but now with our little girl we are looking to purchase a FWC. Unfortunately with a toddler comes a tight budget that I assume will get us something from the 80's or maybe 90's. It needs to fit a 03' short bed Ram and i would ideally like to have a Hawk but I'm honestly not too picky. I know the older models are too wide for my truck but I am not opposed to modding to fit. I'm also willing and ready to take on a bit of a project but I'm not too interested in a camper that needs the canvas replaced.

I'm in San Diego but ill take a trip for the rite camper. Please contact me through a msg here or send me an Email. Thank you.

Almost exactly what im looking for, but im not sure how well a keystone would work on a short bed.

I would be on that like a fat kid on a cupcake if it were slightly closer! Im still going to get in contact with the seller, thank you!

You might check this one out, it is in SoCal and fits a SB full size truck.

(he sez firm price but it is @ $1000 to $500 high, compared to prices I am seeing with dealers in Phx dumping their last 2013's)

Pop up Camper - $9500 (Los Olivos)
2013 Palomino Bronco 800. Like new, used only for 6 nights. Extras include : Custom cover in box, frame carrier.
Price is firm. This camper is for a short-bed truck (6ft bed).
PO Box 306 (google map) (yahoo map)

Location: Los Olivos

I really like that one too but its out of my price range.

I found this camper (http://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/rvs/4266912933.html) yesterday and im just waiting to hear back from the seller. If they get back to me I will for sure be making the trip out north to pick it up.It seems like its in good condition with minor work needed so I can invest a little more money into things like solar and a fridge.

I'd be careful of that one. He mentions the body seems tweaked which could mean broken welds in the frame. To fix those would mean tearing either the exterior skin or interior walls off. Not a fun project.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too and its been two days and no contact so I assume that's not the one for me. I also just missed a pristine 8ft alaskan for $650.00.

Im not one to give up but searching everyday for the past five months and missing everything is getting old fast.

San Diego CL has a 1998 Sunlite pop-up listed for $3300.

Sorry, I don't know how to post the link.

Im actually going tomorrow morning before work (I work weekends) but Ill try to get pics as soon as I can.

Hopefully this works out, you guys have been great support!
