When things almost went boom

I concur that the culprit is probably poorly combusted exhaust gases. We have had the same problem, alarm going off in middle of the night even with all windows, vents and screen door open, dog wanting to run away etc. FWC thought we had a loose ground connection, which we did, but the problem wasn't solved until we started cleaning the fridge exhaust flue on a regular basis thanks to the advice of a local RV repair shop. We have solved the problem permanently by going to an all electric fridge.
