RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West New truck

After 29,000 miles with the camper on my 2004 Tundra, I have realized that it was not gonna do what I needed anymore. Too many scary situations in which I wasn't sure the truck would stop and it just isn't worth my life! So, I am having to retire my Tundra(although I'm not sure I'm gonna sell...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Launder the cushions?

I wash the cushion covers after every trip. I have a front load washer. Used the gentlest cycle. Cold water. I threw them in the dryer on air dry... So humid in Florida, hard to hang dry!

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West My bitchin' airbag story

I had about the same thing happen to my air bags. Had a 2 inch spacer on my airbag that was sent to us from Firestone Ride Rite! The bracket bent, but our airbag slid out of place. Had a bunch of bolts break as well luckily, a while ago, i had read about bringing extra bolts cause that...

We have a Tundra and originaly only did the air bags and E rated tires. Went to Alaska and everywhere in between last summer and had tons of problems with the air bags. Upon return home, replaced the shocks with Bilstein 5100's and got a custom leaf pack from Deaver made. Getting ready to put...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Getting ready for another summer on the road

Been MIA all winter. Had to work my butt off all winter for another big summer! On the 7 month journey to Alaska and back, I was pretty disappointed in the air bags. After much thought, I ended up getting a custom leaf pack made by Deaver Springs. Put them on the truck along with Bilstein...

You mean the wind deflector that I used to have on my Tundra? I don't have a wind deflector on the Ford. Sorry Leadsled... that was meant for Lighthawk. Got you guys mixed up. But for you, my solar worked awesome. So glad you told me to get that monitor so I would know what was going on...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West saw one of the new NCO FWC (I think)

That was at Swiftwater on the Kenai River, not Cunningham. TED: I love those Earthroamers too. Saw a few of them in Alaska. Must be nice to have all that cash. One was towing a really nice off road Jeep.... Maybe if I hit the lotto.....

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West FWC rear awning

This is the rear awning we made for our camper. An RV dealer gave us an awning from a big 40ft motorhome. It is from Dometic. Bought tracking at Campers World. Used pvc pipe with elbows and riveted it. Then used tent poles from awning corners(pvc elbows) to jack bracket holes. Worked...

It was an amazing summer... Have more cool pics. Especially some of the camper. Dealing with loading them from my phone to the computer... not so good at this stuff. Home now, saving for next summer. I used to love to fish here in Florida, but fishing for those salmon kinda spoiled me!

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West fishing for red salmon on the Kenai River

Fantastic day on the Kenai! Nothing better than smoking your own catch. Did you use any guide service? Saw lots of guides on the Kenai. They were all fishing for Kings. Very poor King run this summer. They ended up closing it. The red run was one of the best ever!!
