RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Camper Shell Mod for sleeping (add yours)

Some good ideas, Frank. Thanks. I had not thought about using one of those shelter tents, inexpensive, easy to set up and provides a good place to put things (always a problem storing stuff!) while camping. We are headed out to the Olympic Peninsula (WA) next week for a couple of days, might...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Camper Shell Mod for sleeping (add yours)

Thanks....yes, I was concerned about the narrow wheel wells too, but it seems to work okay for the two of us and it is nice to be able to sit up. It is just for an overnight or two now and then, not an extended vacation.

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Camper Shell Mod for sleeping (add yours)

Here is my camper shell conversion. I first tried the standard bed platform, it did not work well for either storage or headroom given the fact that I have a small Ranger pickup with a cab high Leer shell. My latest attempt is working well though! Rather than storage underneath that is hard to...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West 2011 FWC Eagle----SOLD

Thanks ski3pin, I built the front receiver just for the bike rack that I built too. It is really just a flat plate shaped to fit the bumper bracket with a 1.25" receiver tube, mounts with one factory bumper bolt and one 3/8" bolt.

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Best truck for an Eagle/Bobcat?

Wolverine33; For what it's worth, I am starting my 5th month in AZ in a 2011 Eagle on a Ford Ranger. Two things; My Eagle is pretty small even for one person on extended trips like mine, but it does work. I am getting up to 22.5 mpg, 2wd, 4cyl. My Eagle w/most of the available options weighs in...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Eyebolt Source

Hi Guys, Newbie here. I purchased my new Eagle in July and have had lots of enjoyment since. Just food for thought on the aluminum camper frame flex and tie down bolts. Has anyone watched while jacking up their camper see how much the camper flexes? Mine does about 3/8" before one jack leaves...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Vehicle type and fuel mileage?

I'm always interested in talking mileage and check just for the fun of it, because in the end it is what it is. Recently, drove down to Woodland, CA with my 07' Ranger SC, 2.3L, 2wd, 5spd auto, Timbrens, to pickup my new FWC Eagle with most options, so not a shell. 830 miles each way from NW...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West We have another new FWC Model available ...

Thanks Stan, I really enjoy seeing the new models and changes FWC is making, with pics too. I usually never say much, but once was enough and there is a certain person (no names!) that continually adds their, usually off topic, negative, 2c worth. I wished they would start their own thread, on...
