RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Roof Weight on a FWC???

Thanx for good tidings on our trip to New Orleans. Still waiting on the whether to choose the route...And I certainly agree that the Tundra looks and drives better with the FWC. I pulled that bigfoot x country twice and don't miss towing. That is the major reason we went for the FWC! For more...

Hawk and Four Wheel Drive Tundra heading for New Orleans for holidays. If bad roads, especially ice in...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Ext mounting options

I am looking for ideas on what any of you have used the exterior space at the rear on the drivers side of the FWC. I seem to recall brackets for bikes, gas cans etc. We could use some exterior storage, hopefully not adding too much weight. The issue would be getting behind the fridge for...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Anyone add 12volt socket?

Installed a 12vt plug next to the co2 detector. Tapped into the wires for power. This puts the plug on the right side of the camper up next to the storage area. Thus not having to run cords across camper. Works well.

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Heading to Vancouver

Stan, Thanks for info, looking forward to the trip. By the way we camped at limekiln (off the one south of Monterey) last week. Absolutely beautiful. Didnt envy the late arrivals setting up tents. With the FWC, bada bing bada boom and up.

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Going Greener (It's not easy being green!)

Going green without even trying!!! When one thinks about it, FWC types are green automatically. Heres why: My Tundra with a hawk gets about 16 mpg at 55-60 on regular gas. Not great but better than premium fuel in those pocket rockets getting 20mpg. We'd really be happy if we were allowed to...

Tiger Provan or Sportsmobile or a FWC/ATC And then theres the Tiger Provan. A 4x4 truck chassis and extra cab, with a solid camper attached. Diesal. Fiberglass like a Bigfoot trailer. RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West FWC battery low on arrival

FWC battery not charging from Truck Battery Good info. Bought voltmeter tested all. Was a break in the wire from isolator to FWC connection. Repaired and all working fine. Sometimes it's the most obvious that is easiest to fix. I agree that a boat type three way battery selector would be a...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West FWC battery low on arrival

GOING CAMPING Charged the camper battery and fridge all day Friday via 110 house power. Left on trip. Set fridge to batt to hold cold on our trip to Monterey. When we got to campground that evening (after 3 hour drive) the camper battery was reading low voltage. (I thought maybe the draw was so...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Fuses blown??? Wiring diagram?

Fuse to where? Thanks, I do have the panel with the plastic covers. There is no indication whatsoever as to what the fuses go to. In fact there are two empty slots. I understand how the pushpull switch works. There must be a separate fuse or fuses handling the detectors. Has anyone made sense...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Fuses blown??? Wiring diagram?

For whatever reason the propane detector and co2 alarm are both not working or on. Checked 12vt fuses at panel, all ok. Does anyone know which fuses go to what? Perhaps these two detectors are fused somewhere else? And if there is a schematic to the fuse panel? Thanx. 2006 Hawk.

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Wiring Info

Wiring run Hi Ben, 2006 Hawk, Question is to how the 12vt wiring is run from the lights in the pop top to the circuit breakers. It surely doesnt run along the vinyl sides or does it? My goal is to tap into the circuit at some point and wire in another 12vt outlet. Probably along the upper...
