One cross country trip, numerous nights in northern California and Idaho for a total of 43 nights in the camper and sadly I sold it last Wednesday. My kids grew up and are too big to both fit in the dinette bed of the hawk as well as moving to Idaho has changed our camping situation. I would...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Propane Alarm

in the bundle of manuals FWC gave me the manual for the Propane sensor has a little blurb about part numbers at the bottom it states that the 31012 is the Consumer packaged version and 31011 is the OEM packaged part. I don't think there is anything updated about the 31012

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Propane Alarm

From My reading the paperwork that came with my Hawk, the 31012 is not newer its just the consumer Packaged item where the 31011 is an OEM package. I may have been premature in thinking its my Batteries when charging hard, causing Hydrogen. I can say this. I have removed the propane...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Propane Alarm

I have noticed that when my solar is charging my batteries hard, I have more false alarms. I just did some reading that hydrogen can set off the Atwood LP/CO alarm. Guess what batteries emit when they are charging. Yup, Hydrogen. My batteries sit 3 inches from the Atwood unit. Having...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Ordering a Hawk 1-28-17 Do's Don'ts?

Just had TransferFlow replace my stock 26 gallon diesel tank with a 50 gallon. My rig now has longer legs! On another note, on my last trip as I was preparing to leave I hade my 130l fridge cooling 4 days before as always. But the damn thing blew the 12v fuse. When it was time to load the...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Ordering a Hawk 1-28-17 Do's Don'ts?

Trikebuble, one last observation, when in king mode with dinette fully covered, the dinette bed is useable to anyone not closterphobic. And reallly would resemble a closed in "fort/den/cave/dog house"

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Ordering a Hawk 1-28-17 Do's Don'ts?

Hi trikebubble, the king slide does completely cover the front dinette, but the good news is it can be used in king, queen or large twin mode. (Dinette completely covered, dinette 1/2 covered, dinette not covered) after 8 camping trips with 4 of us we have only used it in queen mode and here...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West FWC - hitch step options

This fixed the wobble on my 2 step Brophy. I looked at the Easy Hitch Steps, I passed because we try to take our shoes off outside as we generally are at the beach and I didn't want the sand inside.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Ordering a Hawk 1-28-17 Do's Don'ts?

Quick Question about Solar, I'm a solar Nube, I searched in advance in ultimate solar fourm. Due to the draw my Fridge/fans have and Camping in shady spots I am going to get a remote Solar panel to plug into the prewired Plug. I would like a 30 foot cable so I can set the panel up in front...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West First Trip in New Fleet

We use our Hawk for a family of 4, the first trip was rough, real rough... clothes and stuff everywhere, food under a diner seat, which was made into a bed 100% of the time, was a pain to access...just really bad planning on my part. Lots of frustration. 2nd trip we decided all "personal item"...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Foot switch for faucet?

Such a good idea, I may need to do this. Taking the family of 4 out for 3 days boondocking and need to see how much water we use. This could conserve it a lot.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West F250 backup camer mod

Xjintx, yes, My original camera was in the Ford Emblem of the Tailgate. I bought an OEM camera and harness from a seller on ebay for a lot less than the link below (link just for reference). I then had a friend make a mount for it, so the camera is kind of press fit in the "U"...
