RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West SOLD 2010 FWC Hawk for sale

Many folks out a Dee Zee heavyweight bed mat down underneath the camper. Helps keep it in place as well.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Collapsible sides durability

Doesn’t FWC recommend storing with the top up? I imagine that wouldn’t hurt.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Am I crazy? Switching Tacoma's for a Fleet.

So much this. Having the space in the back of the truck to store things is big. If you're spending one or two nights in each spot and moving along, it also makes setup/breakdown easier. I don't usually store anything inside the camper except clothing (outside of the cabinets).

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West FWC installed Yakima tracks ... which crossbars to buy?

Your Yakima Tracks will determine your Tower options, which will determine your Crossbar options...which as you may have guessed will determine your kayak and canoe mount options. The Skyline tower is the current Yakima Tower, while the Control Towers are the older ones. I'm sure you can...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Jack Mount - Table

Have any of you considered fabricating a small platform/table to put your stove on? I was thinking it’d be really nice to be able to attach to the jack mounts upon arrival. You’d also be able to leave the extra propane tank in the cubby while connected to the stove. Photo attached for...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Decision Made…. Little power help please

Are you doing a 3-way fridge from FWC, or a top loading fridge/freezer from Engel/ARB etc? That will play a large part due to the draw of the front loading options.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West FWC mattress

moonlight - We use a 2" memory foam topper in addition to the stock mattress and it works just fine. We even leave our down comforter down when closing the top. I loosened the roof latches though so as to not compress something that is not supposed to be compressed.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Fiberglass exterior reviews needed

Lobster, As a fellow fiberglass owner I thought I should offer some insight. I live in the PNW and drive a lot of overgrown forest roads. I keep the fiberglass washed + polished, and after two years have had zero issues cleaning it up like new. I have never had the aluminum since this is...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Installing Yakima Tracks

Most customers install their own Yakima Tracks on the camper roof will drill up, from the inside of the camper first (using a very small drill bit as a pilot hole). Just 2 very small holes. Measuring the length of the tracks first (first hole at the beginning of the tracks & the last hole at...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West A few last minute questions before ordering Fleet

You might consider what you'll be storing on the roof, if anything. Having two fans might limit your options up top. I don't think anyone has mentioned the turnbuckle access doors. If you open these up the fans are not only quieter, but much more effective by pulling cold air from...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Fuel Cans

If you're not ready to invest in exterior mounting options, securing them under the rollover couch isn't the worst idea. Not that we carry them often, but two Wavian jerry cans fit perfectly in our Raven, and we didn't smell anything at all.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Opinions Wanted...

This is a great way to go! After starting with the attached photo, I would add that you should secure the fridge to the slide itself. If you go off-road, it could fly out of it's nest very quickly! Nicely done! Riley

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Yakima tracks fastener question

I would echo Ronin on this one, or just go get some shorter bolts. Took me a few trips to the hardware store to accomplish the same goal for my MaxTrax.
