RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West All Terrain Camper Service******

Hey all, just got back from a 5000 mile trip out west with the main goal of getting new sideliner, lift panels and solar on my 94 grandby from ATC. From the start I was treated like absolute royalty by Jeff and Marty. We were allowed to stay in the parking lot at ATC the night before I was...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Horrible nightmare dealer experience, Tyacke motors, Provo, UT

The dealer has offered me a $1000 refund through negotiations with Better Business Bureau, grossly down-played all my claims and said I was exaggerating everything. The BBB has since closed the case citing my unwillingness to come to an agreement. The dealer has since flooded his own google...

Carfax was clean and clear, one owner, no issues. No longer the gold standard with plenty of ways to not report.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Horrible nightmare dealer experience, Tyacke motors, Provo, UT

I've filed a complaint with BBB, left a google review, and a yelp review. I just really wanted to bring some awareness to the situation. This dealer is in the heart of where the lion's share of this forum recreates and they seem to sell a lot of Toyotas which this forum is very heavy on. I love...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Horrible nightmare dealer experience, Tyacke motors, Provo, UT

Thanks for the comments, advice and thoughts guys. A little more info; I bought the truck with cash paying with a cashier's check from my credit union. The truck is kind of a unicorn of sorts and is very hard to find. It is a 2013 Tundra reg cab 5.7 4x4 long bed sr5 TRD. It took me 3 months...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Horrible nightmare dealer experience, Tyacke motors, Provo, UT

Hey guys, after all the excellent info and tips I've gained from this site, I feel compelled to share my story about a horrible, nightmare experience I had with a dealer from your neck of the woods. The dealer is specifically Tyacke Motors located in Provo, UT. I dealt directly with Stayton, who...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Photo of FWC door awning ?

No special order. Mine was a 6ft classic by shademaker. Had a regular ebay post with buyitnow or make offer. I think that a lot of the bag awnings are made to order though.

I did exactly this on my 94 grandby. I attached the regular aluminum awning rail on top of the roof with the slot hanging over towards the back door. Works excellent with an ebay 6ft bag awning. You just have to flop the bag up out of the way of the door when the top is down. Also have to...

Sounds like a great trip. Lake of the clouds? Keeweenaw peninsula? I think a Wisconsin rally of some sort would be a fantastic idea.

Sweet, more fwc folks from the midwest! Appleton area for us. Maybe start a small rally in the north woods? Wonder if Sean from go-anywhere would be up for it.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West What Older FWC Fits Early Tundra - Eagle & Kestrel Only?

I have a 94 Grandby that I modified to fit my '01 reg cab long box. Just had to lose the thickness of the floor pack on both sides, so 3/4" each. Was definitely easier than I thought. I didn't have to remove the fridge or furnace on driver's side. Did have to watch out for LP plumbing on...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West House battery questions

If you are able to access the battery and look inside, it's not AGM from my experience. If your battery is inside the camper, you owe it to yourself to swap to AGM, in my humble opinion. No chance for leaks, spills or off-gassing into the camper. They just perform better and you will know its...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West FWC New Awning

There was a drip rail type thing on the rear vertical face of the roof. I removed that, caulked the holes and replaced them with stainless screws. The awning rail is actually mounted up on the roof horizontal plane and I screwed into the rear frame member. Bear in mind, my grandby is a '94.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West FWC New Awning

Here was my rear awning solution. I mounted a regular aluminum awning rail from any rv store for a bag awning. I turned it upside down and mounted it with butyl tape and stainless screws on the top edge of the roof hanging the rail track over the edge. I finished with self leveling lap sealant...
