RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Is this GENIUS or Just More STUFF?

Yep. Not sure I wanted to see something like that. Maybe if you can buy the pieces and build up to it - it won't seem like more stuff, just a good idea!

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Nightmares With Camping Neighbors

Unfortunately with social media this is becoming more common on federal lands. Has been happening steadily for the last few years. Modern life with the rave crowd. If the local agency gets enough info they can attend, but trying to control dozens of people with one or two LEO's is kinda hard.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Cliff Creek Fire - Wyoming

Best to go to the WYDOT website for road closure/condition information. They are the responsible agency for federal highways. http://www.dot.state.wy.us/home.html

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West First Gen Tundra suspension upgrade

Welcome. We have a 2005 Tundra, bought used also. Carry an Ocelot and don't drive rough 4WD roads, but lot's of gravel and moderately rough two tracks. Put Firestone Airbags on with stock suspension. Will be adding a sway bar, but so far, don't feel the need to have additional. Do put E rated...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Hot Spring Tour-Central Nevada

Having spent a lot of time working in Nevada and some fun trips there, I always enjoy seeing places I haven't been. After many years, I finally got my better half to do a trip there this past spring. Now she really wants to go back. Thanks for the trip report and a bunch of new places to go!

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Interesting way to stay cool this summer while camping (if you can't get high enough)

Using a 5 gallon bucket in a similar fashion has been around for a while. The cooler would keep the ice around longer! Have used the bucket before, it works great.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Chasing Abbey - Road Trip through Utah

Coral Pink Sand Dunes have been a favorite for years. Looks like you have a bunch of other great places. I had never thought about driving the original Abbey road into Arches. Might be a reason to go back to Moab!

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Across Nevada! - May 2016

Nice hike - that one goes on the list. Hot Creek Mtns are always interesting. We saw 57 desert bighorn sheep in basically one band there once. Did not know about the nuke sites up there, might have to visit that sometime. Thanks!

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Umm, how much weight can it take?

I sure would worry about cracking the frame unless it has been modified, or built for this. Having cracked frames on toppers, trucks, trailers and bikes, I always look at things like that causing issues.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West 1st Bike Ride!

Sounds great. As you work into it, think about a bike fitting. A good friend who had ridden for years suddenly had knee issues with the same bike. Finally went and got a professional fitting ($300) and in two rides, his knee pain was gone.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Tioga Pass - May 2016

Great trip Ski! That campsite in the Jeffery Pines looks awful familiar - think it was the place we were at in March. Thanks for the tip on the cheap hot showers in Lee Vining - my wife would have loved to have known about that in March. Hard, icy spring snow - after a 3000' descent many years...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West DV vandals

Sure you can fix stupid - they have surgery for that. Kidding aside, it is hard to know what people like that think. Or if they even do. Hope someone takes the effort to turn them in.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Suspension Mods to a 2015 Tundra with a 2014 Hawk

Great post. I had extra springs on our old HiLux and it helped immensely. Have not done anything but airbags to our 05 Tundra with Ocelot, but our Ocelot is lighter than most since we go light and I built about half the interior. Have not felt the need for extra - yet! As for GVW, having worked...
