RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Loon Lake- short trip

One neat thing we did encounter was a bunch of rock crawlers, I think it was a collaboration of 3-4 4wd clubs taking disabled Vets on the Rubicon trail. I think it was called WOUNDED WARRIORS. What a surprise to see this thread! I'm the guy you spoke with in the morning on your way out. We...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Pics Of Our North Coast Trip

Last month my wife and I took a road trip up the north Coast of California, into Oregon and up to Portland. At the suggestion of members of this bb we stayed at some beautiful campground and had a great trip. As you'll be able to tell from the pics in the album linked below, we also enjoyed...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Camper Cover

Check out a pop-up trailer cover, for like a Coleman pop-up. That's what I use. The smallest I could find for my Hawk was 10 x 10 and it works great. I use bungies to take up the extra material.

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Pett Vs. Wet

The wife and I use the Pett in our Hawk and we like it better than the Porta-Potty. I have a 3 gal. sealed bucket I use for storage until we can find a suitable place to dump it. It fit's nicely under the couch. Warning: The Wag Bags aren't cheap! I just ordered 12 from Cabela's for about...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West North Coast Road Trip

My wife and I are planning a road trip up the coast from Bodega Bay into Oregon. I've been trying to find some nice campsites along the way but my searches are coming up short. Can anyone suggest a few camps and must see's along the way? We have a week available and hope to get as far as...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Charging Problem on '06 Hawk

I just returned from a week long trip Jeep to Johnson Valley OHV in the Mojave desert and found that the battery in the camper wouldn't take a charge. With the truck running, I check the battery monitor and it shows that it's charging, then I hear a relay click in the cabinet behind the monitor...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Effective Bug Removal

In Ben's Tips and Care of Camper thread he mentions a product called Protect All. I've used it with good results. It's easy to apply and most of the bugs will wipe off with a damp cloth if the leading surfaces have a good coating. Yep! That's what I've been using with great results :thumb:

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Camper cover and storage

Need to remember that those of us who have the camper on full time wind up "storing" it folded down with no problems. Like most things, never put it away wet. Good point ;)

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Camper cover and storage

I'm in NorCal (Contra Costa County) and I store it with the top down with the cover on. I open it up once a month to let it air out and have never experienced any moisture on the canvas.

Wow! That's awesome! Our only complaint with our 07 Hawk is the lack of a dinette. Your set up is exactly what we're looking for! I'll be talking to Stan about upgrading our Hawk very soon :D

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Suspension question

Another vote for the Firestone Ride Rite Air bags. I installed a set on my 06 Dodge 2500 CTD and love the results. When I have just the camper (Hawk) installed, I run 5 psi and the ride is just right. When I tow my 7000# car hauler, I run them at 30 psi and the ride is great. They'd work...
