RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Alaskan Window

Anybody ever replaced a window in their Alaskan? I want to replace the window that mates with the cab on my 8 foot cabover but I am missing the window trim and the actual window pane. I was just going to replace it with a pane of Lowes glass, but I wasn't sure where to get the aluminum trim to...

:angry:DD-that's 0 for 3, me thinks thumb down for mesh-despite the high chance it might work-Dogders are winning now, bad way to start the season, but hearing Vinny Scally broadcast that game still, he's the same age as my Dad, and just like him, he 'll never be replaced when he's gone, more...

If you go to 19.5 wheels you can have the rating you want, that's what I did and one of the better moves I made. Goodyear G124 265/70's in Vision wheels. Check out Rickson wheels online for more info.

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West An Alaskcan camper and Dodge dually story

My camper is bolted directly to the frame of the flat bed in four corners. Don't feel bad about how long it took you, it was half a day to get ours loaded at the factory. Not too many tray tops built by them. All ended well and it will not come off until we replace the truck. At that time I plan...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Coffee maker?

Highz, The Behmor is the best roaster I have had out of four so far. I can roast pound to perfection in about twenty minutes and I'm done for the week. For longer trips, I roast more and go from there. Sweet Marias is a great website and where I buy all my beans and supplies. It's tough to...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Big Bend Ranch State Park Trip

We drove by BBSP on our way home from the NP and wondered if it might not be quite as civilized. In the NP we can't take our dog on the trails, even on a leash. Cottonwood campground is way too crowded and accessible for our tastes. The back country sites are nice, but generators are not...

The cans above the truck are retired beer kegs cut in half and modified into cfc floods. Quarter kegs on the side walls. You can't...

Thanks for the worm welcome! No major upgrades lately, but I will go over some small improvements in the near future. Most of our summer thus far has been taken up building a home for our Alaskan. 24'x 32' fully insulated, 6+ kwh solar system, etc

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Norcold Refrigerator

I fought with three way fridges for years and finally gave up. If it's not level, parked in the sun, in a bad mood you will have issues. I had a Nova Kool installed in my Alaskan and have bee very happy. For longer trips we have an Engel 45 to use as a deep freeze. Before you spend much...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Alaskan Camper on Flat bed

Hi everyone and it's nice to see a forum with a section dedicated to Alaskan campers. It's always good to discuss campers with other owners. I've been on the ExPo forum for awhile and actually chronicled the build up of my camper there...
