FWC Eagle - Cable capacity - DCDC charger upgrade

Now I am confused! I'm getting 13.5 amps at the Anderson plug from the truck. Plugged into that with wires running from fuse (that goes to DC to DC) and ground bus bar. I am only getting 1.5 amps at that end.. The DC to DC is not showing up on my device list on phone .The line looks fine...

    Rotopax on Bobcat

I just mounted that Rotopax mount on the back of my Eagle. Stud finder was no help so I just started drilling small holes from inside the camper before I hit something solid. I used a similar sized aluminum plate in the camper as a backup. Got three bolts through the aluminum frame and the two...

FWC Eagle - Cable capacity - DCDC charger upgrade

Thanks Jon. I actually used a Blue Sea System 7182 40 amp fuse that was mentioned earlier. I put another one just before the house battery. I was admiring my cable work today and noticed that I completly bypassed the fuse. GRRR. I now just need to install a Anderson plug mount in the truck...

    Lakes Basin, Plumas County

I've done a couple back country ski tours after the road closes in winter. It gets very little use except for the occasional snowmobilers. Some of the cabins are left unlocked that I "may" have slept in.

    Rear brake light

I have a LED strip that runs above the rear door. It also functions as a turn signal. Nice to have anytime but especially when bikes have a cover on the rear rack. The bike cover obscured the tail lights. Someone on here recommended the site but I don't remember the name of it.

    short mattress

Some of the ultra light backpacking folks will cut down the size of their inflatable mattresses. I don't remember the process but it seemed pretty easy.

    Let’s daydream a little

Line the bed with heavy plastic. Buy a wood burning immersion water heater. Drive to any ski area. Toss snow in the bed in the the am. Insert water heater. Charge one dollar a minute to skiers after the lifts close. Kinda obvious isn't it?

    Pass-Through Between Camper and Truck

I used a bicycle inner tube on a topper. I believe it was a 26" mountain bike tube. Inflate a little bit and slide it into place then inflate to seal. This did cause the paint on the cab to wear a bit.

Side Surf/SUP Racks for Fleet on a Tacoma

I have to use a folding three step ladder to get my board on top. If I leave the board on top when raising roof I use the speaker stand method. I might just get an inflatable SUP for longer trips. Love having the SUP along but it is a hassle.
