Soemthing I've wondered about, could you Line-X(or similar spray on bedliner) the plywood bottom of a FWC? I wonder if the wood has to "breathe", and I wonder how well a spray on bedliner would stick to plywood? I've got access to all the tools needed, and I could get the spray on material...

I've never mounted a solar panel specifically, but we have Yakima racks on some of our work trucks and I used tube clamps for mounting various things and it seemed plenty durable. IIRC, the Yakima tubes use 1.25" tube clamps

You also get a nice swiveling table with the front dinette option(at least I assume it's included in the price?).

I wouldn't think the plywood box would need to be glassed if it was glued and screwed and the hole for the hose to pass into the cabin had a tight fitting grommet. Good luck finding the extrior door for the propane hatch...I've been looking for a long time while researching for my shell model...

adhuntr.com is the best, imo, but none of them seem to work as good as they used to. It's more time consuming, as you have to search one state at a time, but CraiglistPro is the absolute best. It's real time and doesn't miss any ads like adhuntr.com does.

Hey ETA, would you say the FWC windows factory tint is darker than the rear tint on your Tacoma? It appears that way in the pics but then the camper is also much darker inside.

How about using a long 2"x4" as leverage? Couldn't you wedge it between the camper and the bed somehow to make minor left/right adjustments?

I feel bad for ya Stan! You gotta take the "internet heat" for FWC gets questioned on the web. Can't FWC make note of big changes, such as a new and improved mattress, on their website so you don't have to do it all yourself?

Did the roof rating change at all when FWC went to the new one piece roof?

FWC obviously reads these posts concerning their campers. Why no reply form them? My guess is because they haven't changed it? They could at least make upgraded wires an option, imo. I'd be willing to pay so I didn't have to retrofit it after the fact.

Possibly looking at a 09 Phoenix pop-up for a long bed in the next couple days. Anything in particular I should look out for? They seem to be pretty well made from my research. The build process on their website looks pretty thorough and well thought out. One thing that does concern me...

God that Guanella is so nice...and to think it's about $3k less than a new Grandby. But I feel like it's just TOO nice for me, and I'm sure it's heavy as a brick.
