Any experience with weBoost 4g cell phone boosters?

Anybody using the weBoost Reach? I used a Sleek happily for years but recently changed cellphones (no choice--service provider insisted my old phone was being put out to pasture --snarl ) New phone doesn't work with old booster. I gather the newer Sleek isn't as strong as the older one. Reach is pricey, but I need to be contactable due to family stuph. I'd appreciate any comments before I cough up the price of the Reach...Thanks

There's something odd going on with Google Search and that thread (at least for me). I had a hard time finding it earlier this week when I wanted to add a post to it. After many tries for keywords I knew were in there, I finally just scrolled down through the posts until I found it. I've since found the WTW search can find the keywords the Google search can't. Weird.

In any case, here's the review of the Weboost Drive Reach and there's mention of it further down the thread.

The issue I foresee is that the inside antenna needs to be "within 36 inches of where the cellular device will be used" and the suggested location is the side of the passenger or drivers seat. If I mount it on the rear window (we have a 4 door tacoma) it will not be within the 36" of either the driving position or the rear dinette in the camper. It may be close enough - I guess the easiest option would be to try it and see how it works out.
I have the Weboost Drive 4G-X- the inside antenna needs to be as close as possible to the phone.
I've found in weak areas if the phone is actually against the inside antenna it will sometimes work when it won't just a foot or 2 away.
In stronger areas it is not near so crictical.

I also was surprised to find the inside antenna included with the 4G-X package, 301211, does not work anywhere near as well as a newer inside antenna Weboost has now- the 314401 antenna - a smaller flatter antenna.

Yes, I attach my phone to the "chocolate bar" inside antenna with a few rubber bands.

We used our Weboost extensively on our trip to AK this summer, primarily for my wife’s work while we were driving. She found that if she clipped the interior antenna to the shoulder portion of her lap belt she got good reception. When we were stopped for a few days we switched out the exterior magnetic antenna with their “Trucker’s “ antenna that increase the reception noticeably.
