Just thought I'd throw this out: For those of us who like/need to travel very light but also like good, fast and nutritious one pot meals, you might want to consider a lightweight pressure cooker. You can't use it on a fire, but it requires very little propane, and drastically cuts cooking time, uses less water, and for extended trips, allows you to cook things like beans and whole grains, plus a whole variety of one-pot meals that would otherwise be impractical.
I used a lightweight p-cooker for years in the backcountry and it will be the next addition to the kitchen once my wife retires and I have to up my cooking game.
But, don't take my word for it, read this: https://landcruisingadventure.com/pressure-cooker/. If you haven't already discovered Coen and Karin-Marieke's overland travel blog, it has a wealth of information on everything overland-related. They are the real deal.
