Cabover Bed Weight Limit?

Welcome to the cult,Mr CementTruck.
What camper do you have?
You can give Marty at ATC or Stan at FWC a call
for more info about your question.
They would be the best source.

From FWC- The weight limit on the cabover bed is about 600lbs – though no one to our knowledge has
had this much weight on the cabover for an extended period of time.

Howdy and welcome

The weight capacity for the overhead will always be a matter of static or dynamic loading (big words I don't understand) but basically whether you want to carry a lot of weight up on the platform while folded down driving washboard or just need to settle in for the night.

It is really easy to forget how much weight really goes up there.

In our Grandby shell the factory cushions and the extended platform deck very likely add #100 plus sleeping gear and a flashlight or some books to read....and 2 or 2.5 humans....could easily add up.

What were you planning to load up there ?

I was mostly just curious. I don't weigh much and don't think it will be an issue. We had a couple people hanging out in there the other night and the thought crossed my mind- hey- don't let too many people sit up there. Got the wheels turning.

Turning wheels are always good.

We own our third FWC now and have enjoyed a lot of good times in them.

Nevertheless I tend to easily confuse the "inside " experience with the "outside" reality.... :) .

Keep it light and keep it happy.

Merry Christmas
