Camping between Flagstaff and Kingman?

Any suggestions? I'd prefer to avoid the Walmarts and campgrounds if possible. Anything in the vicinity you'd recommend? Thanks!

There are a few primitive places and a formal campground (burro creek) off of hwy 93, just south of the 40. There are also some places between Kingman and Bullhead City up towards Chloride.
