I just used my Cotton Carrier for the first time and found it uncomfortable. Perhaps it was the combination of a heavy camera/lens and an adjustment issue, but the straps tried to dig a hole in my back.

Anyone else out there using one? Any secrets?

Haven't had any comfort issues, it is still a work in process getting it fit just right though. Always get about 98% there and make an adjustment and have to start over again. I use it with my 70-200 2.8 which is not exactly a light and small lens. For hiking and rougher areas, scrambling, etc it is by far my preferred way to carry the camera. I use a sling a lot too but typically more casual walk around stuff.

I have it set relatively high which does make it a little awkward putting the camera into it or taking it out, but maybe that allows some of the weight to be carried by my belly that I've invested so much in over the years ;)

I was just thinking of CC today. We skied a two mile loop of a local meadow and I had a Fuji X-T1 + 90mm mounted. I used a Black Rapid Sport strap with RRS mini-clamp onto the camera plate. It was okay and I was able to ski with a 35 and 90 lens.
What I did not like about CC was the large fitting that makes the bottom of the camera a bowling pin.
