Hello!

About the third week of April we will be leaving Portland and heading to southern Utah by way of eastern Nevada. This will be our 2nd extended trip of about 3 weeks to southern Utah and would appreciate any suggestions you would be willing to share. We like to camp dispersed most of the time, only visiting civilization for water, gas, groceries and a laundromat occasionally.

Many of you have been very generous with suggestions in the past. We are very grateful for all those ideas.

A picture is worth a thousand words, so here are a couple of links to our trips from 2020.

I will report back in May about how the trip went.

Kindest regards and safe journeys.

For eastern Nevada Jim Boone has many suggestions, Great Basin National Monument, Pahranagat Valley, Lincoln County petroglyph sites, and so much more -

What a great suggestion. There are loads of good tips at Jim's site. Thanks! We will have lots of fun unpacking it all.

Tony, as I recall, you have the Laurent Martrés books. Another great source for ideas.

Valley of Fire SP remains one of our favorite places in Southern Nevada. The Boone website can give other places nearby

Steve,
Great recommendation on the Valley of Fire State Park. Looks beautiful.
Funny thing about the books, Steve. I have accumulated so many books, I was telling my lovely wife I hoped I could absorb their knowledge through osmosis. So to make that happen, I have a foot high stack books at my feet. Will let you know if it works.
Thanks
Tony
