First Hello to all, I have been lurking for awhile.

I have a question and thought someone out there might have an answer. I have a '92 3/4 ton Chevy longbed and wondered if a shorter bed model (Hawk) would fit. I am curious if there would be issues with the wheel wells blocking the attach portals of the camper. Anyone see a setup like this? I would prefer a FWC Grandby or ATC 8ft'er. I am in Alaska and the selections of used are well...one.

Thank You

Hey Mike

Thanks for your "first post". Welcome aboard.

The Hawk will fit on your truck, but not perfectly.

The Hawk will NOT slide all the way forward in the truck bed.

(it will hit the wheel well humps before the camper reaches the front wall of the truck bed)

So you can either center the camper in the truck bed, or you can maybe put a tool box in front and have the camper be flush at the tail gate opening instead.

See sample pictures attached.

It can work well if you don't mind the look.

Either way it sure beats sleeping in a tent.

Hope this helps.

Happy Camping !

:)
