FWC Swift Ordered - Now to prep the truck :-)

With all this positive talk about airbags and cradles I'm interested in changing over if it improves the ride and handling capability. This would be rear suspension version 6. Adds up going through different iterations.

Out of curiosity, where did you get them, and how much were they?
Amazon, and they were about $65

One thing worth noting. I have the 2.5” old man emu suspension lift. I had the firestone 2” spacers under the bags.

The spacers needed to be removed to Intsall the cradles. Cradles are about an inch thick.

All said and done, the bags sat in the cradles almost perfectly.

Will be testing them this week on our annual Death Valley trip and they’ll be fully tested on Dedeckera Canyon and Steele Pass.

I’ll report back how they do

Looking forward to the report.
I ran Steele and Dedeckera in Oct. The steps in Dedeckera were worse than I had remembered. Are you going solo?

If I changed to bags I'm guessing my rear bumps from Wheelers would come out and maybe the AAL. If I did that when the camper is loaded, even empty, I'd have sag in the back until the bags were inflated. Is it normal for the bags to ride on the cradles most of the time?

Thanks, I’ve never run either trail so I’m curious. I’ll have a built 80 series Land Cruiser with me also.

I have sliders and skidplates and such. My only concern is my 46 gallon tank hangs down a bit low. That’s the only thing I’m worried about.

Not sure on the cradles. I put like 5lbs in mine just so they were firm into the cradle. Didn’t want the noise of them clacking if they were barely in there.

Time will tell.
