Yesterday while coming back from another old motorcycle retrieval mission, this time in Oklahoma, I stopped at the NM weigh station and they were happy to give me the figures. 1999 F250 7.3, 4x4 extended cab. I was the only occupant, full tank of gas (38g), some water and gear/tools, and a bunch of motorcycle parts. I was towing a 10' enclosed trailer with a motorcycle and parts, 600-700. The Grandby is, I believe, a 98, it had a bunch of motorcycle parts carried in the back but not the usual camping supplies, dogs, food/etc.

Front Axle 4560
Rear 4520
Trailer 1780

I figure the rear was probably taking 200# from the hitch. Take that away and the truck weighed 8880 I think without camper or anything else it is around 6700 but I'll have to double check that. Two batteries in the camper, solar, dc fridge, propane, etc, it all adds up! Glad I took it off the F150.

GVWR front is 4900+
rear 4900+
E rated Firestones are well above all that. Looks like I could still carry a lot of beer, or women, or whatever....
NM weight station was happy to have me pull on the scales, at least on Hwy 60/70 at Clovis.

I have a Grandby on a 2000 Chevy 2500 6.5 TD and I'm pretty much the same as you, always hovering around 9000. Oregon weigh stations leave the scales and readout on when they are "closed" so if you're ever in these parts, pull over whenever you want.

Hey Barko1: What kind of bikes do you collect? I am looking for a mid to late 70's Honda 450 or a Yamaha XS 650 which is much harder to find at a reasonable cost. I had a 82 CM 450, but I sold it when bought a 800 Intruder which I recently sold. Now I want another older bike. Not too large as I just want to cruise around locally.
