These may seem like kinda odd/random pics to share (especially titled as I've done)...but Facebook popped them up as a "memory" of mine from 7 years ago today, and I still like it. -- and it is from a western wandering trip.

At a gas pump in Baker, Nevada, just outside of Great Basin National Park, on one of my many year-end (2009 --> 2010) visits there.
How to keep "weather" out of the credit card slot in an unprotected pump??

In my original 2010 FB post I captioned this: "Modern convenience dressed up with Old West charm."
I still think it's innovatively, resourcefully, cool -- never seen another like it.

Thanks for reposting this, Mr. BC.

Prior to one of our trips out that way I called the Great Basin NP Visitor Center and inquired if gas was still available in Baker. The answer was classic, "If there wasn't gas in Baker none of us would be here."
