Joshua Tree Trails / Camping

Any recommendations on a trail route through Joshua Tree that is one vehicle friendly? I don't mind going slow or in 4wd, of course, but we will be running just one truck.

I'm not on this site very much and a friend mailed me and asked if I wanted to respond. There isn't many but here's a couple.
The Geology tour road is a loop drive or 1 way depending the way you go, you will use 4wd for part of it.
Find Gold crown Rd. off Hwy 62 east of 29 Palms Hwy and follow it into the Park. Lots of old mine sites on this drive.
You'll have to look them up on the park map or Google them. Hope this helps, have fun. Craig

Gold Crown Road route would be fun for a group to explore. Maybe a January trip?
