mounting a shovel

If you have bars and tracks on top, you can use old Yakima bike wheel trays to secure the handle. It’s out of the way and less prone to theft.

Confession... I plagiarized the idea from the Ski3pins.

Because our Grandby is mounted on a 1-5/8" platform, I have a space between the truck sides and the step which allows me to mount a square nose garden shovel with a couple of Quick Fist rubber clamps. The other advantage to the platform is that it gives me the over cab space to store my Extend and Climb 8" collapsable ladder in a box I made for it. It also allows me to store things like kayak paddles and rugs inside the bed. I can just reach in and pull them out.

The Crovel looks cool. 2 years down the road - you happy with it?

anyone else like the Crovel? Instead of an axe and shovel (sort of instead of)

i see it is now Crovel Extreme 2.... the current model.

I carry a CROVEL. Usually stowed under the back seat. Very, very robust tool.

Are you happy with the MAX tool? Is it well made? Looks good.... but I want to make sure it is "bulletproof" before dropping $249. thanks. :)

I have a Max multipurpose tool and carry the axe part on a couple of quickfists on my back bumper up under the camper overhang (I have an Aluminess rear bumper). The rest of the components go in my cargo box.
