I recently purchased a 2005 Eagle. The previous owner had never hooked up an auxiliary battery inside the camper, they just pulled directly from the truck battery. So, I'd like some advice on getting an aux battery hooked up.
1) Any recommendations for RV-specific batteries? I don't have any (current) plans to add solar to my roof, but I do have a small portable solar panel that I could imagine using for extra charge during the summer.
2) How do I hook up the battery? I have an IOTA DLS-30 in the large compartment under the sink, and there are a couple wires coiled up in the upper corner (see picture). I'm thinking I would just need to splice on some car battery post leads and should be good to go?
3) How difficult would it be to move the battery to the other side of the camper, under the rollover couch? I have lots of under-couch storage, and would rather keep the under sink area for cooking supplies, etc.
