Has anybody used the folding Mule Awning brackets (designed for FWC) on an ATC?

I'm contemplating putting my compact Rhino Rack batwing 270 awning onto my Ocelot.

The adjustable top ~9" of the bracket allow the awning to be tipped down to access the roof latches on the camper.

The Mule brackets, jack brackets, and awning bracket are all robust. But still that adds ~40lbs high on the camper...

Good Idea or Bad?

on my ocelot (since sold) i used non folding mule brkts for awning attachment. we relocated one of the top roof latches, and worked great. i dont remember what the brkts weighed, but not too much.

That's good to hear. I think I'd need to relocate both roof latches on the side though. Were your latches in a similar position as these, if you recall? It looks like the forward brkt would hit right at the front latch, but maybe there would be enough room to leave that one as is?

not the best pic. but with awning deployed, u can see the front side latch. it was moved a bit forward to clear the awning. rear latch was moved to rear back corner. they all worked fine. that awning was great. on this morning it was wet from dew and evening shower. sun am out in the morning and truck was still in shade. i folded pole up, and slowly drove truck into sun. awning dried up, and i stowed it away all dry. go.
