We had an invitation to join my cousin and his wife at their new winter retreat in Arizona for New Years. We turned the trip into an adventure with several stops along the way. Our first stop was Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada -

We hope you enjoy coming along. :)

She had returned with the best photo from our entire trip.
This is why I often don't even bring a camera anymore. Mrs. Ted's photos were so much better than mine I just accepted reality and enjoy her photos.

Nice colors in the sandstone.

Enjoyed the first two installments! Looking forward to reading about the rest of the trip!

Excellent photos of fine examples of cross-bedding in a number of those sandstone outcrops. Another wonderful geology tour to tag along on!

Yes, Mrs Ted does a great job with the camera. You do too, Ted! :)

Thanks Vic!

I’m loving the Kofa segment! The rock art, mortars at the shelters, tinajas... I need to visit! Thank you for the chance to check it out vicariously!

Very nice photos! Love the shots of the ewes on the Prospect trail.
The ewes and little ones were fun to be among!

Great reports so far, thanks. Funny, I thought at first you captured a four horned sheep, but then I went back and found the second set of shoulders!
Thanks Occidental! I too, had to take another look to sort out all the horns. :)
