For those of you that camp in your FWC in the snow over the Winter months, what tool have you found best for removing snow from the roof when needed that is easy to store and transport? Txs!

Now when I camp in snow I carry push broom and step stool to remove/push snow from roof. First time I also supported roof from inside with cargo pole from floor to roof, had to use shovel, not good on roof but use what you have especially when it’s 1am. I have not stored a camper in snow.

Go to one of your local car dealerships and ask them where they get their devices to clear snow off their cars on the lot. Most of them use a type of foam (similar to a squeegee but a little bigger) on a broom pole. If you got one of those you could easily get a collapsible pole at Home Depot etc. and then store it behind your seat. That is what I plan on doing. In fact, we are getting our first real snowfall today and it could be up to a foot on the ground by later tonight.

I bought one of those from my local Honda dealer about 7 years ago and it has held up very well. I had taken my wife's car in for service and saw it in the Parts Department. I don't know if they normally sell them or just decided to sell their extras that year.

I see it's a Pro-Edge Snow Brum, yellow foam, red plastic, 17"x6". It's marked "Pro-Edge" and "Angel-GUARD, Worcester, MA., Made it USA". It came with a 4' pole but I replaced that with a 5' collapsible one I already had. That pole is still a bit short. After pushing the snow to the opposite edge, I either have to stretch and lean for a final push or go around to the other side to pull the rest of the snow off.

Below is what it looks like today. On the top photo, note the small hole beside the center threaded hole. That's where I ran a screw in against the pole so it wouldn't turn. A frustration using this is it sometimes starts turning around the pole as you use it. The screw stops that. You may not want to do that if you're breaking it down for storage. The spinning isn't that bad, it's just an occasional 'dang it'.
