UPDATE: The Mono-crystal(better) panel doesn't properly fit the bare roof of my early 90's Granby. The Poly-panel does, you have to take in account for the brackets and I can only get 1 out of the 2 screws on each of the 4 brackets to line up with my roof frame cross bars. I am going to order a Poly and Craig list the Mono. Not sure if it would even fit on the luggage rack if I had one.

Found a great deal on a 100w Renogy Mono-crystal Solar kit, with the upgraded Wanderer controller. $167 if anybody else is interested. She is coming in today, but the rain from Hurricane is due in overnight here in Ohio :( Putting it on my granby as soon as I have 2 decent dry days in a row.

I put one on the Hawk I sold earlier this year and it was a pretty basic install. + & - wires going from panel to controller and + & - wire going to battery from controller. I mounted it on my rear luggage rack and ran the wires through the side of my Fantastic vent fan as I didn't want to drill a hole in my roof. Worked out great and never have to charge my battery.

HTTPS://www.groupon.com/ Link doesn't seem to work so search for "Renogy Solar" on the groupon link.

Similar kit, but you don't have the mounting brackets/hardware and it is missing the 2 battery cable leads to the control unit. Read my revised warning. The Mono-crystal doesn't fit properly on my bare roof, but the Poly-crystal fit perfectly( I sized it up before I put it on my Hawk I was selling).

PS> cute dog prints. I have a 14 year old Cocker that has been to 45 states with me.

I can get this to work, but I will have to measure and drill a new hole in the bracket and through my cross frames. I figure I will do it towards the rear as there will be less stress than in the middle of the camper roof. Hate putting holes in my roof, but nothing a little DIcor lap sealant can't fix ;)

Finally got the solar unit done and it works like a charm. Hope this helps anybody trying to add one. Took less than an hour, of course it is my second one. Really a no brainer. You just want to use a volt meter to check which is your positive and negative(don't go by the signs on the wires). I went through the vent fan as that worked great last time and I didn't want to drill a hole in the roof. I wrapped the wires with electrical tape so they were snug in the pass-thru hole and coated it with Dicor lap sealant.
