SONORA PASS UPDATE
SONORA PASS/SR-108 SET TO OPEN TUESDAY AT 2 PM
After this weekend's storm, Caltrans District 10 has completed the latest clean up and is scheduled to open Sonora Pass/State Route 108 today (Tuesday, June 13) at 2:00 P.M.

How cool. I was once the first motorcycle to go through, opened the wed befor M day. Thanks for that heads up. I've been looking to get outta Dodge, in my case Oakland.

Snow is melting fast. I rode over Sonora and Monitor yesterday. Snow is gone on Monitor. Still snow on Sonora. See the pictures below for the change in just 20 days. The rivers were running higher and muddier than I have ever seen. Just above Dardanelles there was about 8 inches of water running across the road 100 feet in length.

Those are impressive pictures on many accounts ! I ended up spending several days up near Green Creek and Obsidiam CG's south of Bridgeport and up. GC had come up 2 inches , below an old beaver dam, in 24 hours, it was crystal clear when I arrived and only slightly off color when I left. I was completly revitalized for the ride, er drive home. As soon as time slows a bit I hope to get a few pictures up...
